I audited 30 old blog posts last month. Half were getting zero traffic. After 2 hours of work, 8 of them started ranking. Here is the process.
Find the Losers
Search Console → filter pages with impressions but low CTR. Those are posts Google shows but nobody clicks. Fix the title and meta description.
Find the Ghosts
Filter pages with zero impressions after 60 days. These never got indexed or never matched any search. Rewrite the content. Target a different keyword. Or delete them.
Find the Decliners
Filter pages with declining impressions over 3 months. These were ranking and dropped. Update the content. Add new data. Refresh the publish date.
